Wheatstone Principal Leads First LSPA-SWEP Business Practices Forum

Carl Shapiro, in continuing his focus on loss prevention methods to improve the practice of Licensed Site Professionals in Massachusetts, has represented the LSPA in joining with the Society for Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP) for the first LSPA-SWEP Business Practices Forum held on February 8, 2007, which focused on Loss Prevention issues and effective Marketing Techniques in the current marketplace. Carl Shapiro and Janet Keating Connolly, who was an LSPA Board Director-at-Large and Treasurer of SWEP, have joined forces in leading this forum.
 
Speakers included industry leaders in Professional Liability. Current issues that were addressed are potential impacts of Asbestos in Soil regulations on current insurance policies; articulating an effective plan for designing a new company website or modifying and existing one; most effective current marketing techniques for professional services firms; and liability traps created by the use of emails.
