Wheatstone’s Principal, James P. Murphy, recently addressed the Bridgewater Rotary Club, where he was invited to speak through his active association with the MetroSouth Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Murphy’s presentation was an overview of environmental regulations that affect property owners in Massachusetts, and specifically about Massachusetts Brownfields sites and regulations. His presentation also addressed the successful reuse of the Brockton Landfill as the country’s largest Brightfields facility that went online in 2006 to generate a significant portion of electricity with use of an extensive array of solar panels positioned across the otherwise unusable land, which is a closed landfill. What is Rotary?
