WHEATSTONE Provides Feasibility for Hanscom Tank Farm

Type:  Announcements

WHEATSTONE was asked to provide a strategy, scope of services, time line, and cost estimate to complete a tank farm installation at an existing corporate hangar at Hanscom AFB. WHEATSTONE was selected based on a strong recommendation from Liberty Mutual Group's Aviation Division.

WHEATSTONE's experience at Hanscom includes multiple due diligence studies along Hanscom Drive, two of which resulted in the construction of two recent hangars on the civilian side of the air force base. Our relationship and reputation with Massport, the property owner and landlord, is excellent. This relationship is critically important because, although we provide LSP Services to our client (the tenant), Massport (as the owner) reviews, authorizes, and executes the MADEP forms prior to submittal.

For the newest corporate hangar at Hanscom, WHEATSTONE coordinated and prepared multiple TAAs (Tenant Alteration Applications) for submittal to Massport for their review and subsequent approval. WHEATSTONE also completed all required environmental consulting services for our client, including the following: due diligence studies, soil and groundwater analyses, negotiated a payment from Massport for the environmental premium for developing the property, pre-demolition survey, demolition observation and soil assessment at the foundations and utilities, construction observation and support services, soil management, groundwater treatment, discharge permits, laboratory confirmation testing, report documentation, emergency response services, LSP Services, and MCP compliance throughout the three year construction cycle.
